HONOR SOCIETY NEWS
**Honor Society Selection Requirements
To be considered for membership in St. Clair Junior Honor Society, students must have a 3.5 grade point average. To be a member in the society, one must also be of good character, demonstrate leadership, and be of service to other students and our community. Students who had achieved the required grade point were given application forms in which to record their leadership and service projects. (Leadership involves both in school and out of school activities, but is not simply participation in school required classes. Service projects are not school related projects.) Potential inductees also had to be referred by three teachers. Applications were accepted by the deadline and selection made according to required Honor Society standards.
**Induction Ceremony was scheduled for January 7th, 2010, but was rescheduled due to snow days. It was held on Wednesday, January 13th, 2010, at 6:00 p.m. in the Junior High Cafeteria. New members inducted were:
7th Grade: William Arndt, Kayla Barrett, Libby Bell, Hunter Bragg, Emma Buffer, Halley Cokley, Allison Hinson, Sarah Hinson, Anna Hoff, Kirsten Krier, Gavin Martin, Wallie Mesey, Alex Miller, Megan Monehan, Brock Oermann, Lauren Papin, Kylie Schroeder, Tiffany Shadrick, Zach Sneed, Kirk Tauchert, Wyatt Wachter, and Brandon Weiss.
8th Grade: Elizabeth Click, Sarah Davis, Samantha Deason, Alex Elliott, Haley Molkenbur, Hannah Molkenbur, Jake Oermann, Rheann Spier, and Aaron Trautman.
These students joined the current members: Mitchell Hammack (President), Toni Mullaney(Vice-President), Brittany McDaniel (Secretary), Alicia Collings (Treasurer), Julia Click, John Creasy, Rachel Cusick, Mike Davis, Ben Feddersen, Michaela Heembrock, Mason Helton, Blake Henry, Hannah Kierns, and Audrey Kornucik.
**Upcoming Events
Honor Society Members will be conducting a mock census in March with tallied results displayed for the school population. An upcoming field trip is also scheduled. Watch for details later.
