SUMMER SCHOOL 2012
Below are the student forms for Summer School 2012. These should be returned to your child's principal's office by April 20, 2012, to be eligible for a promotional drawing.
Summer School is planned for Wednesday May 30 – Thursday June 28, 2012, from 7:45-3:00 each day. We will be providing summer opportunities for enrichment and remediation of our students, however, the focus will be educational.
Classes for students entering kindergarten through 5th grade will attend summer school at the Murray Elementary building. Students entering 6th – 8th grade will attend classes in the junior high building, and students in 9th – 12th grades will attend classes in the high school building.
We will participate in the Federal Total District Free Meal Program, so all students enrolled in summer school will automatically receive breakfast and lunch at no cost. There are no forms for you to complete for this opportunity!
The transportation department is working on bus stops for summer school. Once student applications are reviewed, we will publish the time and place of where the busses will stop. Please understand that we provide limited transportation for summer school. Bus numbers and routes are not the same as during the regular school year.
Drawings for prizes will be held daily for students in attendance, K-8. Students K-8 with perfect attendance (missing 1 hour or less), will be eligible for a $50 Wal-Mart Card. Students K-8 who are absent between 1 and 7 hours (1 day) will be eligible to receive a $25 Wal-Mart Card. High School students who successfully meet class requirements will be eligible to receive HS credit.
